2016 Bentley Continental GT Review, Release date

Bentley is known as a manufacturer of luxury cars, model 2016
Continental GT Speed is became the fastest Bentley ever.


The vehicle sits on the fender-vent bandwagon.

There is a range of several new 20” and 21” wheel designs for
buyers to choose from. The standard wheel for the GT V8 and GT
W12 becomes a new 20″, six-tri-spoke wheel. The Mulliner
Driving Specification wheel changes to a new 21″
seven-twin-spoke design. Finally, a new 21″ five-spoke
directional sports wheel joins the existing 21″ design
available for the V8 S and GT Speed.

At the rear, the boot lid seems to be more sculpted with an
emphasized aerodynamic profile. The rear bumper has been
redesigned and widened for an additional sense of power and now
features full-width brightware. The vehicle also gained a new
rear diffuser design.

The vehicle’s also equipped with new LED lighting.

As for the color, Bentley added Shortbread and Camel shades to
the existing options, so customers can now choose between 17
different shades.

The GT Speed also got a revised Onboard WiFi system for better

According to Bentley, all driver controls have been redesigned
for better ergonomics. The vehicle has also received a rear
storage compartment with charging for smartphones and tablets,
and available in-car Wi-Fi.

The seats have been adorned with straight-fluting pattern,
whereas the Mulliner Driving Specification gained a
“small-diamond” quilting pattern.

The interior innovations include brand new driver controls with
an optional and sports-oriented steering wheel and larger
gear-shift paddles.

The driver’s dashboard received new dials and graphics for a
fresh, modern look. The center console features a new black
gear lever surround, which unifies the style of all driver

A new secret storage compartment is hidden between the rear
seats – it’s capable of accommodating and charging electronic
devices such as iPads etc.


Engine and Specs

The 2016 Bentley Continental GT buyers will be offered with a
choice between a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 and a 6.0-liter
twin-turbocharged W12. In most models, the latter should be
able to deliver 582 hp and 531 pound-feet of torque. With
a more powerful engine next generation of Continental GT will
accelerate 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds, top speed will be around
195 mph.

The engine upgrade is followed by improvements in fuel economy
of up to 5%. The W12 is now equipped with a variable
displacement system and the new evolution running at part
throttle on six of its 12 cylinders to decrease fuel
consumption and offering lower CO2 emissions (329
g/km) and combined fuel economy of 20 mpg.

Price and release date

Bentley unveiled the new Continental GT 2016 at the 2015
Geneva Motor Show. Official pricing still remains unknown, but
it’s expected to fetch between $194,000 and
$250,000, depending of the market.
