2016 Audi A6 Review, Specs

This midsize luxury sedan is available in 6 trim levels: 2016
Audi A6 2.0T Premium, 2.0T Premium Plus, 3.0T Premium Plus,
3.0T Prestige, TDI Premium Plus and TDI Prestige.

Will be produced in three body types: sedan, convertible and
station wagon that Audi called Avant. There will also be a
hybrid version called Audi A6L E-Tron, which is expected in
late 2016.

2016 Audi A6 Exterior

The 2016 Audi A6 2.0T Premium comes as standard with 18”
wheels, Audi Drive Select, automatic xenon headlights, LED
running lights and taillights.

The 2.0T Premium Plus contains all aforementioned and adds
front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, a blind spot
monitoring system, Pre-Sense Rear as well as power-folding
exterior mirrors.

The 3.0T Premium Plus has the equipment similar to the 2.0T
Premium Plus, but also contains chrome exterior accents (window
frames, exhaust outlet).

The 3.0T Prestige provides you with adaptive LED headlights,
and power trunk opening and closing.

The TDI Premium Plus is equipped similarly to the 3.0T Premium
Plus, whereas the TDI Prestige has the same equipment as the
3.0T Prestige.

A great variety of custom exterior colors and finishes are
available by special order through the “Audi Exclusive”


2016 Audi A6 Sedan

The 2016 Audi A6 undoubtedly has one of the best interiors in
its class, with a good-looking dashboard and premium quality
materials. A wide range of functions utilizing a pop-up screen
and a knob and buttons on the center console are controlled by
the MMI infotainment system. The “MMI navigation plus” upgrade,
which comes standard on all trims except the base 2.0T Premium,
includes a touchpad that recognizes fingertip scrawl.

The front seats are supportive and comfortable, thus convenient
for long trips. The rear seat provides more than enough
legroom. The 14.1 ft3 trunk is slightly below
average for the segment, but the rear seatbacks can fold and
offer more room if needed.


As for the standard equipment for the 2.0T Premium, it includes
automatic wipers, auto-dimming mirrors, a sunroof, driver
memory settings, tri-zone automatic climate control, heated
eight-way power front seats, leather upholstery, Bluetooth
phone connectivity, Audi’s MMI electronics interface, a 6.5”
display screen and a 10-speaker sound system with a CD player,
satellite radio and an iPod interface, as well as Audi’s
Pre-Sense Basic safety system.

The 2.0T Premium Plus comes with all previously mentioned and
adds keyless ignition and entry, an 8” display screen, a
voice-activated navigation system, Bluetooth audio
connectivity, an upgraded version of MMI with an enhanced
controller and Audi Connect.

The 3.0T Premium Plus comes with a fuel-saving engine
stop-start system and a power-adjustable steering wheel.

The 3.0T Prestige is equipped with a head-up display,
ventilated front seats, power lumbar support for the front
passenger seat, a 14-speaker Bose audio system and the Warm
Weather package.


Engine and Specs

The new Audi A6 2016  2.0T is powered by a
turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine delivering 252 hp and
273 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive and CVT are standard,
but you will more probably see the “Quattro” all-wheel-drive
version mated with an 8-speed conventional automatic. New A6
with this engine will accelerate from 0-60 in just 6.7

The Audi A6 3.0T has a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine with an
output of 333 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. The 8-speed automatic
and all-wheel drive are standard, as well as the stop-start
technology. As for the EPA fuel economy it should be 24 mpg
combined – 20 city/30 highway.

The new A6 TDI is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel V6
that produces 240 hp and 428 lb-ft of torque. It is also paired
up with the 8-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. The fuel
economy is 29 mpg combined (24 city/38 highway).


2016 Audi A6 Avant

2017 Audi A6L E-tron Hybrid

The new Audi A6 will have a hybrid variant, it is the Audi A6L
E-Tron which will appear a little later than the standard
version. It will be powered by a 2.0 TESI, 4-cylinder
gasoline engine with 211 horsepower (155 kW) and 258 pound-foot
of torque (350 Nm), effectively combined with an electric motor
of 124 horsepower (91 kW) and 162 pound-foot of torque (220 Nm)
powered by 14.1 kWh lithium-ion battery .

Fuel consumption at the 2017 Audi A6L E-Tron will be about 2.2
liters for every 100 kilometers (106.9 US mpg) with an emotion
rate of 52 gm of CO2 / Km. Only the electric drive will be
able to cross about 50 km (35 miles) while accelerate from 0-60
mph for 8.4 seconds with a top speed of 130 mph (210 km / h).


2017 Audi A6L E-tron Hybrid

Price and release date

The 2016 Audi A6 should go on sale in the fall this year, and
the average price paid for this car should be about $54,000.

2017 Audi A6L E-Tron should to appear on the market in
late 2016 or early 2017, the price has not been set for this
